BEHIND THE LENS

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always had a fascination with cameras and capturing anything that caught my eye.  When I was 8 years old, I was gifted my very first camera, an instant Polaroid. Much has changed since that time and I now shoot with a far more advanced Canon EOS DSLR 70D. My travels to abroad as well as locally have afforded me the opportunity to behold many great sights. I have often said that I wish my eyes were lenses to my soul’s camera so that at any given moment I would be prepared to capture the captivating and breathtaking images that I have seen in my lifetime. As my style and eye have evolved, I find myself mesmerized by vibrant hues, patterns and some of life’s most precious moments shared between people who love each other. These moments held forever in an image have the power to trigger emotion and entice the senses.  Photography elicits a spiritual revelation that allows one to take the uncommon, the unrefined, the unnatural and expose its beauty for the world to see.
